If I dare,
It’s because I am becoming aware of us,
As a pair of us,
Each accepting a share of what’s there…

It takes care
And despair
To change.

Though you swear to change,
Who can tell if you do?
It takes two.

When I take a step,
I hope you take one too…
I only hope and not expect,
That you would care to;
That you would help us come through…

I’ll always be there,
As frightened as you;
To help us survive,
Being Alive.
